Synopsis[edit]

Each episode tells a 'coming of age' story as narrated by theater veteran Henry Strozier (who was twice nominated for an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Narrator),[2][3] and features three different groups of animals, mostly cats and dogs, in their first eight to 12 weeks of their lives. The events of this time period of an animal's life are observed and presented from the first tentative steps that help them get started investigating the new world around them, to the days of playful contact with new creatures and familiar faces. At the end of each episode, an epilogue is shown of the pets that stand out from each litter or animal group. Before cutting to commercial break (45 into the show) after explaining what's to come after the break in the same episode, they give the audience a 'Too Cute Quiz', where they give a question about one specific breed that the audience has to answer with the correct breed. After the commercial break, they return to the question and give the answer and an explanation about said fact.[4] The beginning of the show also gently pokes fun at the 'viewer discretion advised' warning:

'The following program contains material that is just too cute. Viewer discretion advised' [5]

It was announced that Too Cute returned for a third season with new episodes that aired on August 3, 2013. Also, Animal Planet partnered up with the Washington Animal Rescue League[6] to launch the 'Too Cute Kitten Cam' for online viewing.[7]

With the ongoing spread of the novel coronavirus, citizens are grappling to make sense of the panic surrounding them. Many of them are now practicing social distancing hoping to contain the virus, however, staying indoors for hours seems to be making it difficult for us to stay sane. Hoping to make these monotonous days of self-quarantine a little better, Animal Planet will be airing a 94-hour marathon of their show Too Cute and it involves oodles of kittens and puppies. The channel recently announced this adorable line-up in celebration of the upcoming spring solstice.

Too Cute is a documentary-style footage of puppies and kittens which follows the pawsome life of several different litters of baby animals, especially puppies and kittens. Through this show, we get the opportunity to witness these little munchkins from when the squirming bundles of joy are just days-old to them achieving major milestones as they grow up. If watching ASMR and DIYs are just not getting you through the coronavirus crisis, Too Cute surely will. Bring a little brightness into your week with a 4-day long #toocutemarathon, beginning today at 12 noon ET! There’s something for every member of the family, wrote the channel on its Instagram handle.

The marathon which has already begun on Wednesday, March 18, will be running until Saturday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET/ PT, so you better get that remote and check out the schedule. If you're craving for some more of this precious palate cleanser once the marathon's over, Animal Planet will be airing a Too Cute mini-marathon on Sunday, March 23, 6 a.m.-8 p.m. ET/PT, according to PEOPLE. Apart from Animal Planet, other networks are doing their part to keep us entertained as well. According to Scary Mommy, Hallmark is also bringing back its Christmas marathon which will begin this afternoon (Friday) and air through Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

The network will be airing 27 of its popular Christmas movies and if you're willing to divert your attention and watch two nice people fall in love, then this is your cue. This much-needed marathon is appropriately named 'We Need A Little Christmas.' Now, if you're not sold on the whole Christmas rerun of Hallmark, then ESPN will be airing seven hours of Tom Brady's championship Patriot games on Sunday, March 22. It would include seminal games and an abridged version of all six Brady Super Bowl victories.

Social distancing might seem a bit scary for some, however, it is important to do so now if we want to limit the spread of the COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has urged people not to gather in huge groups of 50 or more for the next eight weeks in the United States. 'Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States via travelers who attend these events and introduce the virus to new communities. Examples of large events and mass gatherings include conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies. These events can be planned not only by organizations and communities but also by individuals,' they wrote.

While you're at home make sure that you clean and disinfect your surroundings in addition to washing your hands. The CDC advises the public to frequently clean surfaces that are often touched like tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, desks, phones, handles, toilets, keyboards, faucets, sink, etc. Here's how you can disinfect:

- Use diluted household bleach solutions if appropriate for the surface. Check to ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.

-Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser.

-To make a bleach solution, mix:
5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water
OR
4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water

-Alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol.

-Household cleaners and disinfectants: Clean the area or item with soap and water or another detergent if it is dirty. Then, use a household disinfectant.

Follow the instructions on the label to ensure safe and effective use of the product.
